A new consensus document produced by expert members of a Working Party established by the Association of Anaesthetists, identifies Rainbow Trays as viable technological solution for arranging perioperative anaesthetic drugs. It has been seen and approved by the Board of Directors of the Association of Anaesthetists and has been endorsed by the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors, International Society of Pharmacovigilance, Royal College of Anaesthetists, Royal Pharmaceutical Society and supported by the Safe Anaesthesia Liaison Group.

The guidelines aim to provide pragmatic safety steps with the aim that they will be used as a basis for instilling good practice.

Rainbow Trays are the only commercially available tray system that standardises the presentation of perioperative drugs and aligns directly to the Critical Care label colours.

Available on NHS Supply chain.
